There should be a 2-inch distance from the side hem to the left or right pleats for a close overlap.

The blackout lining features 100% polyester black yarn woven inside at a weight of 140 gsm with a standard white finish. It effectively blocks out 90-95% of sunlight while also being crease, water, and stain resistant. It also offers moderate noise insulation.

Determine Drapery Finished Width and Length

To determine the drapery finished width and length, calculate the single panel width by adding the rod track full length to the fullness and dividing it by the panel quantity. Measure from the bottom of the rings to the top of the floor or top of the window sill, depending on the desired window coverage. Then subtract 1/2" to obtain the panel length needed. The pin hook system is adjustable up and down within 3 inches for added convenience.

About Measuring

The panel width is based on the width that the pleats are already set to. A default setting of 1.8 times the fabric width is used to create pleats and folds. It is important to note that the width measurement of each panel is based on the top pinch pleat width, not the total fabric width. We recommend a fullness ratio of 1.0-1.25 times, with 1.0 times being the standard consideration. A ratio of 1.25 times is suggested for added overlap and to accommodate fabrics that may not stretch easily into a neat and straight shape at the top when hanging.

Sold per panel, pin hooks are included but drapery rod rings are not. The pin hooks have a ratchet system for adjustability within 3 inches. The panel width is set by the pleats that are already in place.
